Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? -Matthew 6:26

As we walk through this adventure called life, we remind ourselves that we are all precious children of our Father-- those of us who have walked a little further down the road striving to guide those who have been entrusted to our care for a time. Here is our journey down this path.

Making Memories......

Well, these guys and their dad took off yesterday after lunch to go here:

They are spending 2 nights on this aircraft carrier in Charleston with their boy scout buds. Sounds like they have had a great time so far and I can't wait to hear more when they get home tomorrow.
Us girls went to dinner with our 'Adoption Group' that meets about once a month or two. We had a lot of fun visiting and playing and eating with our friends who have also grown their families through adoption. I am so thankful for this group and the fellowship it brings for us as well as our children. It is really fun to see all of the little ones running around, and I am thankful that they all have each other--and will have each other as they grow up together. I am sure there is something in their little hearts that likes to look into eyes like their own and I am glad we can give them that community.
After dinner, we came home and crashed because we had a big day ahead of us.
And I am sure the boys have some great pictures, because they have the camera! So, I had to document our day with my phone.
But it had to be documented.
Because it was SO MUCH FUN.
We had a girl day......

We started it out with some of these..... (pink pancakes, in case you can't tell....Molly's request)
And then we went to get haircuts. Molly and I - Cynthia hasn't grown enough hair yet to have a second cut.

Then, I had a surprise for the girls. I had a gift certificate for a mani/pedi that I hadn't used, so I called the other day to see if we could instead have a pedi/polish/polish and they agreed. Molly was so excited! (Reminder....phone photos!)

Girly girl!

Look at that smile......priceless!
While Cynthia was watching, she kept saying "blue", so our sweet stylist went and found sparkly blue!

Have to have the flops!

Finished products.......

And a little girly detail........

After a spa day, you need to have a little lunch.
Then, we came home to a Grandmommy and Granddaddy package at the front door!!
Which led to some fun craft time! Look at these cuties! Molly wanted a web, so the hot glue that we were already using did the trick. And don't worry, these are spiritual spiders. Molly said the baby spiders don't know about God, so the adult and teenage spiders are telling them!

Then, after dinner, who could say no to an ice cream sundae?? Complete with Halloween sprinkles and a cherry on top!

(yes, she is shirtless) :)
And before bed, a chapter in our current book.....
Molly said, "This was a fun, fun day." I asked if she would remember it forever. She said "Maybe....if you show me the pictures." Well, my girl, I hope you do, because I thought it was a fun, fun day, too.
And I will remember.

Cynthia and I took a quick road trip to Atlanta today for her surgery follow up appointment. Got there with a little time to spare, no traffic, saw the doctor, back to the car, got out of Atlanta with some traffic (at 2pm!!!) and with her asleep-right back home. She passed with flying colors...all was well. Basically, that means we are finished with the 'special needs' part of the 'special needs adoption'. So, on to the rest of her life.........!

Well, for some reason, days and weeks are flying by and life is moving along and I haven't been 'scrapbooking' by blogging! Since it has been a while, I feel like this entry should have something serious, but .....

Life has been so full. Fun, busy, crazy, etc.....school, homework, laundry, work, soccer, ballet, piano, laundry, laundry, laun....you get the idea!

Despite the fact that it was 90 degress on Monday afternoon, we decided it was time for some fall decor! So we went in search of the perfect pumpkins.

I think we have some winners!

These next pics show some of our kids' personalities....

Thomas--reliable, oldest child--1 picture and done...

Samuel---yep, that's Samuel! Love it!

Sweet Molly.

Cynthia hold the pumpkin? Not so much? Catch me if you can!

Trying to be creative---and catch them all!
Happy fall!!!
OK, not at all sure what is going on with the editing, but need to get to bed, so......
